Slatkin + Co. is a luxury home fragrance brand founded by industry legend Harry Slatkin, known as the “King of Home Fragrance.” Their candles are made with high-quality waxes and essential oils and are available in various scents to suit every mood and occasion.
At the beginning of 2023, they were looking to optimize customer acquisition and website traffic and build a stronger connection with the customers via educational email campaigns. Galactic Fed won their trust with a strategy fit for the king.
The Strategy
Following their noses, Galactic Fed experts recommended combining email and paid media efforts to increase the campaign’s effectiveness. PPC helped to bring more traffic and potential customers to the website while email marketing nurtured and converted them.
The team began by analyzing Slatkin + Co.’s accounts to identify immediate improvements. They migrated the Browse abandonment sequence to the Klaviyo platform as it offers better customization, tested various CTAs, integrated testimonials, and continuously optimized campaigns and emails to maximize conversions and ROI.
Galactic Fed also launched customer win-back and post-purchase upsell sequences to increase sales and reduce churn. And as a final touch, they brought in SMS messages, creating a modern omnichannel approach.
On the PPC front, the main challenge was to identify the most profitable campaigns that would complement the ongoing Performance Max (pMax) campaign. The Galactic Fed team tested various approaches (competitor campaign, remarketing, seasonal, and such) only to prove that pMx was the keeper. Switching off the underperforming campaigns and increasing the budget of the winning one helped to optimize the results and drive impressive ROAS.
